Excel open. Figures from the accounting system. Sales forecast from the CRM. Cash position from the bank. Then a bit of copy-paste, hoping no formula broke along the way.
Does it sound familiar?
Nexpert and the Finnish company Tangently are starting a collaboration around financial management and the automation of numbers.
Tangently brings a company’s financial data from different systems into a single view. From accounting, CRM and payment data it can automatically produce, for example, a profit and loss statement, balance sheet, cash flow and forecasts, without constantly updating Excel files.
From Nexpert’s perspective, the collaboration fits directly with what we are doing anyway: finding manual steps in companies that should no longer be done by hand in 2026.
The numbers should help with decision-making
In financial management, the benefit of automation is not only that it takes less time to prepare a report.
The more important question is how quickly the company sees what is really happening.
How much cash is there? What do the next few months look like? What happens if we hire a new employee or sales falls short of the target?
If getting the answer means updating three Excel files and calling the accountant, the information easily arrives too late.
The idea behind Tangently is to bring these figures closer to everyday management.
The collaboration goes beyond a single piece of software
There are other plans in the works with Tangently’s founder Pekka Kinnunen as well.
Coming up are podcasts, joint Numbers Clinics and other hands-on work on how a company’s numbers can be automated and put to better use in decision-making.
So it’s not just talk about artificial intelligence or automation, but real companies and real numbers on the table.
Nexpert brings the process, automation and business perspective. Tangently brings financial modelling and the automation of financial data.
This will lead to all sorts of things.
Follow Nexpert’s and Tangently’s channels. We will share more about the first podcasts and Numbers Clinics soon.
