Heartware initiative
This is Nexpert’s corporate social responsibility initiative, showcasing how human‑centred AI and digital transformation can be applied in practice. It addresses the common challenge of deploying solutions without sufficient understanding of context, learning barriers, or everyday work practices.
How is Project Heartware connected to Nexpert’s services?
In practice, it is a development environment where we test and develop human-centered workshop models, learning methods, and ways of using AI together with participants. The goal is to prevent digital exclusion, strengthen digital skills, and lower the threshold for using new technologies in everyday life.
The insights gained from the workshops help us better understand different user needs, barriers to learning, and the conditions required for successful implementation. At the same time, we develop practical AI workshops based on real experiences rather than purely theoretical assumptions.
The same principles also guide Nexpert’s client work. We use the experience gained from Project Heartware when developing AI workshops, deployment management, and digital solutions that support people in practical work, learning, and decision-making. In this way, Project Heartware serves as a bridge between social impact and practical business development.
Our Values - Project Goals
Inclusiveness We deliver pro bono AI and digital literacy workshops to underrepresented groups, ensuring no one is left behind
Practicality We design and test workshop models in real‑life environments, focusing on solutions that strengthen everyday work
Sustainability We create scalable, responsible operating models that support organisations and communities long‑term
Co‑creation We build solutions together with participants, applying AI and digital tools through active collaboration
Examples of our work
Eläkeliiton Etelä-Hämeen piiri
Project Heartware’s first pilot partnered with the South Häme District Pension Association to explore how AI could support seniors in their everyday association work. The workshops began with listening to participants’ needs and then moved to hands‑on experimentation, ultimately showing how AI can save time, improve communication, and create engaging materials.
The outcome was visible progress in self‑confidence, curiosity, and shared success - participants experienced genuine learning moments, laughter, and motivation to continue developing their skills.
KRIS OY
Project Heartware partnered with Kris Tampere to support people rebuilding their lives after substance abuse or crime. The workshops focused first on creating psychological safety and confidence, then moved to practical digital skills like CV creation and everyday AI applications.
Outcome: The result showed clear development in self-confidence, curiosity, and a communal sense of achievement – participants experienced genuine learning moments, joy, and motivation to continue developing their skills.
