Autumn 2024, during my trip to the Canton Fair, I met Erkki Kettunen, who was also sourcing products at the fair. Few months after that, I finally had the opportunity to visit his warehouse store in Espoo, and I wanted to share the experience with you as well.
Beoman has been operating since 1992. Founded by Erkki himself, the company offers an impressively wide range of products, from specialty screws to both used and brand-new electrical distribution boards. Erkki sources products both domestically, often from companies that are closing down, and directly from international markets, where he personally meets suppliers at trade fairs.
This specialist brick-and-mortar store for the construction industry is an excellent example of how skilled and knowledgeable staff can genuinely support builders and contractors. If something is not in stock, it will be sourced. One particularly pleasant surprise for me was the selection of used and refurbished electrical distribution boards, in other words, circular economy at its best. According to Erkki, these boards move quickly. At one moment several may be available, and the next they are all heading to a single construction site.
I spent about an hour at the store, and the door was constantly opening. Site personnel stopped by to pick up specialty items, often taking everyday supplies with them at the same time. The expertise of Erkki and his team is exceptional, and their passion for the industry is visible in every detail. The atmosphere is relaxed yet professional, and customers clearly come not only to shop, but also to exchange news and experiences. This is a place where products are not just sold, but solutions and support are provided at every stage of a construction project.
Erkki is also strongly committed to sustainable development, and the resale of used electrical distribution boards is a great example of this approach. Reusing these units conserves natural resources while offering builders a more cost-effective alternative. Beoman is a place where environmental responsibility and practicality meet.
